Breast Augmentation is a procedure that a patient can decide personally for her own good and satisfaction and not for someone else.Breast Augmentation is also referred to as augmentation mammoplasty.A good candidate for Breast Augmentation must be physically healthy, on a right age, breasts is losing fullness after pregnancy, losing shape and volume after weight loss or because of aging, breast is asymmetrical, or elongated shape.A patient must be measured by a physician prior to surgery to assess skin elasticity and what size is the right one for the patient.

Breast Augmentation has two different shape that the patient can chose from, the Teardrop Shape and the round Shape.Breast Augmentation can enhance self-image, self-confidence, improve image and figure, increase projection and fullness of the breast.

The surgery is done under General Anesthesia and it takes about 1-2 hours surgery. Types of incision are as follows; Periareolar Incision – the incision is made around the outline of the areola, the brown or pink colored area surrounding the nipple.Transaxillary Incision- made in the natural fold of the armpit.Inframmary Incision- is placed along the crease or fold of the breast where the breast and skin come together.

Satisfaction with your new image will continue as soon as you are fully recovered from surgery and must follow post-operative instructions and a follow-up visits with your surgeon.

Exercise and normal activity can resume after 2 weeks or as directed by your surgeon. Breast Augmentation results are immediately visible. After Breast Augmentation patient will likely experience soreness and swelling for a few weeks.

Patient must stay in the hospital after the surgery to make sure that patient vital sign is stable and is safe.Patient breasts are wrapped in an elastic bandage to minimize swelling and support the breast.The following day patient may be permitted to go home. Patient will be given specific instructions on how to apply and take the medications to promote healing, how to take clean the wound, and how to care the breast following surgery and schedule for follow-up check-up and how to do the breast massage.After Breast Augmentation surgery, patient must be transported in the recovery room to be closely monitored.

Aspirin is prohibited to be taken if the patients wants to undergo surgery. It can increase swelling and also bleeding. A constant massage and a careful care should be given priority for this type of surgery.
